PURPOSE: To share laughter and family fun through a contest of wit, humor and artistry.

DATE: On or about July 4th, 2007
TIME: 5:30 pm.
WEATHER: Not raining
EVENING ACCOMODATIONS: You supply the shelter.
DRESS: Appropriate for the weather
CONTEST – Present two pictures of your choice, one for each of the following subjects, to which you have attached a Compelling and/or Funny Caption.
1. PORTRAIT – The face or faces of some living animal or animals.
2. WATER – A picture of anything, as long as it contains water in some form that is recognizable by the viewer as water.
RULES
- This is an individual contest, and teaming is not allowed.
- Pictures must have been taken by you with a camera, digital or film-type.
- Pictures maybe color or black and white.
- The subject matter of each picture must be appropriate in content and can have been taken anytime in your life time.
- Each picture may have been cropped and/or enhanced from a larger original but may not have any dramatic digital manipulation or transmogrification.
- Pictures to be submitted to Evan or Louise in an envelope without mats and/or frames by 4:30 pm of the day of the Contest.
- Each picture to be 8” x 10”, more or less.
- Your name must be placed on the back of each picture.
- One vote will be cast by each contestant for each prize category. The winning Picture for each prize category will be the picture with the most votes.
- A tie for any category will be broken by lottery.
- Contestants may not vote for their own picture.
PRIZE CATEGORIES:
One prize for best Portrait
One prize for best Water
One prize for best Overall Picture
CONTEST WINNER: Best Overall Picture
NOTE: As is already customary, the 2007 Contest winner runs the VH Contest for 2008!

My camera sucks....but I'm determined to win!!
we got a great deal on our Canon XTi from http://www.beachcamera.com and we were able to incorporate an old SLR lense from my parents...
the new Canon EF lenses for digital cameras are SICK!!!
definitely Nikon and Canon are the top ones out there!!!
